Origin of Yoga

Over 15,000 years ago, in the upper regions of the Himalayas, a yogi appeared. He sat in deep meditation for a long time without saying a word. He came to be known as the Adi Yogi, or the first Yogi. 7 people, now known as the Sapta Rishis or the Seven Sages, waited for him to say something while intensely preparing themselves with Sadhana for 84 years. On a Full Moon day, now known as the Guru Pournami, the Adi Yogi transmitted the Yogic Science to these 7 sages.
